Liarne Henry, a certified dog-trainer, behaviour specialist and passionate dog lover, has trained dogs in Europe, America and Australia for over 20 years.

She is a member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers (APDT) and a member of KEHW (Katastrophen und Entwicklungshilfe/ catastophy and development aid) and was involved in training dogs for emergency rescue operations. She has written articles for German and Swiss magazines and regularly attends seminars and workshops to keep in touch with the latest cutting-edge methods.

At the age of 17 her passion guided her to a nearby Schutzhund training (security patrol dog) centre. Her constant visits did not go unnoticed for long so that she was invited to train with professional trainers. She took the Schutzhund training very seriously but instinctively felt that the harsh correction methods used by many trainers were counterproductive. She observed that choke chains, prong collars and other so called training aids made some dogs fearful or turned them aggressive.
