Puppy School

Gain the Obedience You’re Looking for with Our Sydney Puppy School

Because it is just as hard to break a good habit as it is to break a bad one, this is the time to teach your puppy the right things early before he learns the wrong things on his own. Early dog obedience training is much easier than trying to correct habits and behaviours that are already established.

In our dog obedience classes, our trainers will help your puppy learn:

  • going to the toilet in the right place
  • to stop chewing and biting your hands, cables and furniture
  • to stop jumping up
  • to come
  • to sit
  • lay down
  • resist picking up everything they find on the street
  • drop
  • stand
  • stay
  • and walk nicely on a lead.

Preparing for behavioural dog training with our puppy school in Sydney

Apart from basic obedience, young dogs need to learn that being approached by unfamiliar dogs is a fun experience, not an overwhelming, scary one. Pups who are frightened early in life may become defensively aggressive later in life if they feel threatened. Therefore, dogs are paired according to their temperament, allowing shy pups to gain confidence and boisterous ones to settle down.

Puppy school is the ideal preparation for further behavioural training and courses in dog obedience in Sydney. Not only will your pup learn the basic commands and behaviours they need to get along on a daily basis, they’ll get used to the training process itself – essential for advanced learning. For troublesome pooches who need a little extra care and attention down the track, in-home classes are available Sydney wide, instructed by our experienced behavioural dog trainers.
