Constance is our lively and energetic 22 months old pup who benefitted hugely from Liarne’s K9 training. Not only did she love the lessons and Liarne’s fully stuffed with treats Kong :) she responded well and retained the training which really improved her recall and help us a lot in stopping her barking at new people entering our house. Liarne’s K9 course also taught us techniques to continue to reinforce the training and adapt to Constance’s little quirks to help both of us develop in a positive direction. We went back to Liarne after working with her previously, as our dog had started developing some new unwanted behaviours. Even though we’ve since moved interstate, the online training sessions were no issue at all — she made the whole process easy and just as effective as in-person. Her understanding of dog behaviour and psychology is outstanding, and she tailored everything perfectly to suit our deaf dog. We saw real improvements and felt supported the whole way through. Liarne has been absolutely amazing. From the very quick response to my online enquiry, to the incredible quality time she spent with us, talking through everything about our dog and giving us such comprehensive advice and next steps. I can’t express how happy I am I found Liarne. I’ve been at the end of my tether with my little fur baby. I w done puppy school, Woofz app, listened to all dog owner’s advice but made no headway with our puppy’s behaviour. Liarne’s method is very natural, now that I think of it! Based on how a puppy is raised with a mummy dog and siblings. It completely made sense. She spent a lot of time basically training us to train our puppy. I’ve had the pleasure of having Liarne work with me and Duke at puppy school but also with in home private training for some additional and personal feedback on how to get Duke settled into his new home and working on separation anxiety. Meet Liarne Henry

K9 Trainer is owned and operated by international dog trainer and canine behaviour specialist Liarne Henry. Over the last 30+ years, Liarne has worked with celebrities, families, rescue dog owners, new dog owners, dog shelters, farms, and wild dogs to overcome even the trickiest of cases.

Dogs are my love language.

What started as a boundless love of animals as a child ended up becoming my lifelong career. I first began in Germany over 30 years ago working with professionals who trained German Shepherds, and I knew then that my role as a professional dog trainer was simply meant to be.

Over the last few decades, I’ve worked in America, Europe and Australia and trained over 10,000 dogs – big, small, shy, boisterous, calm, aggressive…you name it! Nowadays, I work as a private dog trainer, puppy school instructor, and speaker at canine seminars and schools.

In the early days of my career, I conducted extensive research for a year on street dogs in Greece and studied the behaviour of wolves at Tierpark Poing in Germany. I was also in charge of caring for a rescue wolf at Tierheim München in Munich, Germany.

Giving misunderstood dogs a better chance at life is my ultimate mission. I continue to work with animal shelters across Australia to help train, foster and rehome rescue dogs.
